The Eir AI assistant

An information assistant that summarises a patient from recorded data — and never prescribes.

Eir is an information assistant on the patient chart. It reads what's already recorded and helps you summarise it. It is explicitly not a prescriber and will refuse treatment questions.

What Eir does

Open Eir from the Ask Eir button on the patient chart. The panel is headed Eir · Information Assistant and can:

  • Generate an Auto Summary of the patient from recorded data.
  • Flag deranged parameters (critical or warning) with attention badges.
  • Answer free-text questions about the patient (“Ask about this patient…”).
  • Produce quick outputs: SBAR Brief, Shift Summary, and Trend Report.

The guardrail: Eir never prescribes

Every Eir panel carries the line: “AI-generated from recorded data, verify before clinical use.” Eir is an information assistant, not a prescriber.

No treatment advice

If you ask what to give, whether to start a drug, or what dose, Eir will not answer clinically. It responds: “I can only present and summarize recorded clinical data. Treatment decisions must be made by the attending physician.” Treatment decisions are always yours.
